Homeopathy in Sydney
Homeopathy is a holistic system of medicine which treats the person
as a unique individual. A homeopath will not look at physical, emotional,
mental or spiritual symptoms separately, but regard them as intimately
connected, since all are aspects of the whole person. A human being
is an integrated system maintained by an energy flow. Ill health
stems from a blockage in this energy flow, which will affect all
facets of a person.
The highest ideal of medicinal therapy is to restore health rapidly,
gently and permanently; to remove and destroy the whole disease
in the shortest, surest and least harmful way, according to clearly,
comprehensible principles. So it was that Samuel Hahnemann (1755-1843),
the founder of present day homeopathy, defined his goals for a 'new'
system of medicine.
Homeopathic Remedies
Homeopathic remedies work by gently stimulating this healing energy,
thus enhancing the persons natural, inborn drive towards balance
and well being.
Homeopathic remedies are prepared by a method known as potentization
whereby the energy latent in the medicine is liberated and increased.
The process imprints the characteristic energy pattern, or blueprint,
of the original substance into the remedy. There is abundant proof,
over the last 200 years, that the remedies are effective in treating
all manner of illness.
A homeopath will prescribe different remedies during different
stages of a health problem. For example an certain remedy may be
prescribed for an acute problem such as a cold, then a little later
a constitutional remedy might be prescribed to improve the overall
health and well being of the person.

health, life experiences, patterns of health in your family and
your personal characteristics. This will include looking at the
physical, mental and emotional aspects which make you a unique individual.
